All-righty I found a manufacturer for these in Japan, and The Prices are as follows:

10 - 20 units is USD 27 ea
20 - 50 units is USD 25 ea
50 - 100 units is USD 23.5 ea
100 - more units is USD 22.8 ea

I was wondering how many people are interested. these have been proven to output High mW readings, SenKat was selling these for 40 or so dollars earlier. I have requested photos from the manufacturer, and if we get a good number of people to commit, I will go ahead and set up a payment page.


THESE WILL COME OUT TO AROUND THE SAME PRICE AS DDL'S PS3 SLEDS!! :)

Isn't drlava already doing a GB on these? I certainly don't care who organizes it. I just don't want the GB to be diluted between multiple offerings.

I think drlava had them for $26, shipped, priority mail!

Here is where he mentioned it. It is in Senkat's GB Feeler. Look to post #11. He mentioned later that he was too busy to do it this week, but would be on it next week IIRC.

DDL stops in to make money off of people, sit on discoveries for almost 6 months (per his own PM) and then stomps on other people's posts.

Wait, so these units are still in production? Any indication on there model type? Old/new etc? Imo, I would guess these would turn out to be new units, but I'm a little confused now...

They are the "older" units in the XBox360 HD DVD player. They are showing up in other places as well. I have no idea if they are still in production though.

After doing a search on the web, I found this ad from last year when the drives came out, and it was advertising $17 for PHR-803T. I contacted them anyways (even though the offer had expired) and they said they still made them, only not at that price :'( It would ave been SUPER if we could get these for $17 each...


so, I know I'm excited, what about you guys?

What I don't get is why so much power is concidered in this paticular unit. Doesn't that come to some sort of loss? Or maybe high power diodes are cheaper than they seem? Bizarre, but awesome all the same...

well, if we get 100 commitments, (not likely) it would come out to 22.8ea + $0.9 ea shipping to me, and some $ ship to you.

UPDATE:

I notified them that I only need the Sled assembly, and not the whole rack thing. That dropped shipping weight of 100units from 22Kg to 6Kg. That also dropped shipping costs from USD 220 to USD 90 for 100 units to me. thats .90 cents each. I will update prices to include this.

I donno, I guess I could set up a page for "special orders".

For now I'll just be taking commitments. The only thing is lets say we do get 100 people in this, and 20 of em want theirs like yours, and they ordered more than one. I dont have the time to harvest LOTS of diodes, and there is the factor of what if I break one in the process? I dont want this to end up like Blue's GB. (no offense) So, commitments for now, and maybe if you PM me after the GB We could work something out.


for now, just strictly are you in or not.
