Has anyone ever ordered directly from Nichi@? They have some really interesting colors on their website. I may try to contact them about a small purchase, though I doubt they would accept as small of an order as I would place.

I have tried twice, never got an answer.....

I want some of those colors as well :)

I figured as much.... Maybe we can get together a GB for some neat new colors. I think a hot pink laser would get the girlfriend into the hobby ;)

CNI offers a magenta (RB or RV) handheld :p

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't sell to an individual.

Unless you're talking ordering thousands, I doubt they'll even answer.

Multimode 405nm, how has no one mentioned wanting one of those yet? That would be number one for me.

Be prepared for several thousand dollars for a single diode. They typically won't answer though.

If I could get one for free it would have to be their "Aquamarine" 468nm-478nm diode, just the thought of owning a diode cyan laser would be jaw-dropping

*looks at bank account* $0.22 Oh......:(

Just get a dual diode host and combine a 405 with a 638 XD

worse beam specs and lower beam visibility for a little bit more power I would pay SO MUCH for that. There was a great post/test? about these and how they would be horrible for handhelds. It was from way back though and I cant seem to find it.

Found it. This was from DTR and the multimode Osram 405
These are 400mW(rated) multimode diodes. Nothing like the 405's that lazeerer had. Pretty useless if you ask me. The best part about the 405's are that the diodes are very powerful and singlemode making them crazy burners which makes up for them being of extremely low visibility. So if you get these you are giving up the best reason to look at 405 diodes unless you have UV needs and to get to 1W you are doubling the stated datasheet max which only some experience will tell you how long they will last driving them that hard.
