Hi there,

I am planning to buy a 200mw laser (HLP18130) from one-unlocked.co.uk and I am a bit worried about a few things:
Is this site legit?
Will customs search the packages (I live in the UK)

Has anyone in the uk bought a high power laser and actually received it?

Please answer my questions quick, thank you!

All these pen sytles are not 200mW more like 50.
They took that play right out of the chinese playbook.

I call bullshit.

Hey Justin4758,

Definitely a bad idea buying from there. The two lasers mentioned under that code can be found cheaper and probably in the UK too. The bottom one looks exactly like the kit available on odicforce.com, (check LPF deals on his site or kits, you'll find it). It is in kit form but if you ask Jon he may be able to supply you a completed unit ;). If not, then get a kit from him and I'll build it for a total that's less than these guys are selling for. PM me if you want to chat on this.

Another clue as to the amount of faith I would put in this site is this product -

200mw 532nm Blue-Violet Laser Pointer: Flashlights & Lasers - Blue Lasers - BLLU11 - one-unlocked.co.uk Wholesales gadgets and electronics -

Any company selling a 200mW-532nm laser and calling it blueviolet is run by idiots who know nothing about what they sell. 532nm is green only! (Well, with a bit of IR/NIR of course!)

Is one-unlocked based in the UK?

Is one-unlocked.co.uk in the UK? ( As in it ships from the UK)

Re: Is one-unlocked based in the UK?

They quote their address as:-

Whitslade Street Glasgow North Lanarkshire G34 9QA

Googlemaps shows it as a residential area. My guess is they are dropshippers from a Chinese company. However their website is hosted in Canada.

Just stating what I think. I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot barge pole.

:crackup:This is just too funny.

If you send these people any money, you deserve to lose it :tinfoil:

:crackup:it says 200mW 532nm blue-violet and in the description it says 20mW blue laser and 532nm/200mW blue
these guys obviously know nothing about lasers...

ok. Next time someone asks me, "Why are you into lasers? I mean what do you use them for? What's the point?" - I'm going to answer,

"It makes the party fascinating."
