Hi! I did a bit of searching around the web, but couldn't find any reviews on this laser.

I was wondering if any of you guys had any experience with this specific laser! From what I hear, O-like is reputable, and makes good lasers, sometimes overspec, and has a good sales representative.

New special Burning 250mW red laser torch/focusable [OL-RT-250] - $36.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and respond.

Coherent light production is one of man's greatest achievements.

I'd instead suggest a SFCR from Sci-Fi lasers. Will also probably be almost 250mw.

More importantly though, do you have proper safety gear??

Yes I have the safety gear. It's on its way, and I have enough self control to wait till it gets here before i turn on any lasers, even if the lasers come first.

What is particular is wrong with the o like?

I did not even click the link yet, but I can tell that for $36 you aren't going to get 250mW of red.

If anything 250W of red would be maybe $100 if I remember right? (Mostly into Green Lasers).

They even add: "It is good strong laser torch for hunting/outdoor hiking/astronomy/SOS"

o_O who uses a 250mW for hunting/hiking or astronomy? *facepalm*

I too would recommend sci fi lasers. My sfcr is 80mw overspec. O like is.....ok..... Not bad, but the sfcr from sci fi will always be overspec and is $45 .. The cheapest you will find. 45$ for a 280mw 650 nm is awesome.

Dammit, I dont think sci fi is good to go right now, EVERY SINGLE item is out of stock. Even the batteries!

Plus!

I continued searching around the site, and most of their lasers are scams...

I mean I saw

500mW 532nm for $298.....*Fail*

Also their grammar is terrible I mean, this dosen't really determine AT ALL if this is a bad company but writing "Pls" all over the place instead of a couple "Please" is worrying.

They also seem to only take Credit Card, not PayPal.

At least with PayPal you are protected if you do not receive your item.

Under 50 dollars would be fantastic. No sure that is totally feasible though.

I mean, the o like is under 50, and I'm sure till put out 100 or more, but on dragon lasers, a 100mW is like 600 dollars. I ain't down enough!
I've read a few good reviews, but i noticed o like isnt on the trusted companies post.

Yea....

For $50 you aren't going to go very far in any laser wavelength, $50 will get you 100mW of red if even, I say maybe consider going with 445nm, alot cheaper for more power!

I'm totally cool with blue lasers! I always thought they were more expensive per unit power?

Nope:

Here is a breakdown:

From Most Expensive to Least Expensive per Output: Not going into the Orange/Yellow and IR details :)

Most Expensive: 532nm
In the middle: 650nm
Cheapest: 445nm

I'll see what I can find ;)

Found a High Quality laserbtb laser...Maybe this would work?

It's $122

Wavelength: 445nm
Output: 500mW

Which is pretty good, blue's are hard to find in low outputs, that's the only down side :(

Eeee thats kind of out of my price range! Honestly I cant ever recall paying that much for anything other than my car! Oh and a fish tank.

But yeah, I'll browse around that site, but you say they dont have anything of lower power?

Thanks! I didnt know people could be so nice!
