Newb Noob N00b ... whatever you want to call it

Hey Everybody,

New here, looking to go searching through this place to find out where I can get a decent pointer at a good price. Then I'll probably look around googly eyed at any lasers capable of burning. I'm interning at a place involved in laser scanning, steering, deflecting, whatever you want to call it, and never realized they could be used for so many things. I'd be interesting in seeing if anyone around here has made a laser system capable of marking and how much it costed them...

Anyways, time to start reading! Thanks for the resource.

If you want a good green pen size as a first laser I highly recommend the DealExtreme True 30mw
here. It's a great laser.
Or, I can build you a violet (BluRay) pointer or a burning red laser for a good price!
