I was just checking and it looks like susie now has 200mw modules for $135.
It looks like the end is tapered so I don't think it will fit in one of jayrobs DIY.
I want one.

who's going to buy one and measure one , imagine these overspec ? whew that would be lovely..

Wow I really like that! I think the taper is only at the very tip so it should still fit all of our hosts that we have already fit for the o-like/rayfoss module etc.

I might pick me up one of those for my next green build after I finish this GGW.

lets assume the tapering is prominent, Im sure that the set screws in current builds, jayrob's kit, ehgemus, etc.. they are low enough that the module still has stability as far as mounting and positive contact is concerned.

for me module legnth and power output are the real concerns..

Oh yeah your right , its not the regular switch.. two thin parrallel wires should do..

It says 12mm in the description, so I'm pretty sure it will fit the same...

A heatsink adjustment at most, but I'll bet it will be the same fit.

It is a tiny bit longer than the other modules as well though, I believe 1mm longer, shouldn't be too much of a concern though. I was contemplating on buying one of these for quite some time tonight.. maybe in the morning I'll pull the trigger.

bought one :) I'll measure it when it gets here.

As far as the push button soldering goes for having 4 spots. that won't be a problem :)

I hope o-like starts selling this module in a pointer or portable laser. The quality and price could match Opto pointers. I wonder how many mW's of IR there are in one of these modules since I assume they aren't filtered (correct me if I'm wrong).

No they are not filtered... I might buy one as well and write up a review... just need to scrap some $$ together now!!
