It looks like the only thing that I still need is some HV wire, but I don't want to buy a whole spool. Do you buy chance have a suggestion of where to get shorter lengths?

Try Meredith Instruments ? Your Source for Laser Surplus send them an email, they my sell wire without the Alden connectors.

How many mW is it doing? Even if you don't have a meter, Matt would know. You should look into some optics and film plates to make some holograms now that you have a He-Ne laser. Reflection holograms will turn out green as the film emulsion shrinks a little during development. Anyway, congratulations.
 
Just metered it and My meter got the same Matts' did. 8mw. I've bee thinking about
holograms lately but I'm just starting playing with Lumia so the holograms will have to wait for now.

Shoot them an email, they don't list everything they sell on the website.
I had problems with registering so I emailed them about it and they fixed it the next day and sent an email thanking me for bringing it to their attention.
