Need help with blu ray

^^^Easier to stop by any hardware store and pickup a roll of teflon tape.

Lolwut?

He wants a focusing ring, not something to keep it in place :p

Well, You should be able to use a standard focus ring from an aixiz module. If that doesnt fit you can sand/drill the inside out a bit and then use some epoxy (Never use superglue) to hold it together

read again..... "Hi I lost the focus ring spring for this laser"

So yes, Teflon tape was the correct answer.....you don't need/shouldn't use that spring anyways.....

@KGB_Productions - Yup.

Also OP complained in another thread about having to refocus the laser each time so IMO teflon tape would work a lot better than even if he were able to find a spring.

What's wrong with the spring? I only have one module that uses it, but from my testing the spring can't contact the laser diode or the bare lens because of its diameter, so if scratching or damaging one of the optical components isn't the reason, why not use the spring?

^^^I have the same exact pen. IMO the spring o-like uses does not provide nearly enough tension. Nothing actually wrong with it though.

Besides, OP just wants the laser to be set at infinity, and no longer has a spring at all.

Wow, I made no mention of o-like or a pen. How did you know I was talking about an O-like pen? Kinda scared now... heh heh

But yeah, it is kinda dinky for that heavy lens... Thanks!

The #1 reason I use(and I thought everyone else did) tape and not a spring is the spring can rust or chip and drop pieces onto the diode window..This can LED or just fu(k up your diode.....
