looking for help

[jasons first build]

I'm interested in building a relatively inexpensive burning laser. I was hoping someone can give me advice on where to start and what to buy. I've never tried this but think it would be a fun hobby. I don't want to spend too much because WHEN I mess this up I don't want it to be an expensive lesson. Thanks in advance

Hello and Welcome to the forum! My advice would be to introduce yourself so that we know we're not just helping out some 7 year old who wants a laser. Definitely read the stickies and faqs so that you can get a basic idea of how laser building happens. Basically take a read around, the info. is all here, you just need to spend more time finding it. PM me and I can point you to some specific threads that can help you out.

Find a PHR-803t sled on here or Ebay, but don't pay more than $12 shipped.
If you have some old cheap red laser pointers you can use the little lense on those for burning,or you could buy an Aixis module.
Then search ddl driver
It can be done for about $16 US
