Hey guys, I am gonna keep it short and sweet.

I am again looking for my first laser, I want it to be purple and around ~50mW. My budget is a max of ~$80 (Ballpark)

I have been looking around, but I can't seem to find anything. Maybe someone on LPF is selling one? :)
Also, is there anything else I should know? (Besides use glasses)
Is LaserPointerPro a reliable company? Seems too good to be true, with those crazy sales.
Thanks! :D

Do not buy from Laserpointerpro. It's a bad company with mostly crappy lasers.

There is this Jetlasers pen-series 100mW 405nm laser for 80$, but on top of that also comes shipping. Other than that I don't really know any good companies that sell what you're looking for in your price range. Dragonlasers has a 60mW Aurora model but that one is 140$.

Of what I see here from the vets No its not a good company they are way underspec If you have $80 to spend that can get you a descent laser. Wait for a vet to give you a good sight. Some will probably say laserbtb.com:yh: Better to buy a nice one first that will last than keep throwing money at cheap ones that for the most part wont last

Are you in the U.S. Or Canada? Or somewhere else? You should add a location to your profile.

One thing you should know about 405nm violet lasers if you haven't seen one is that 405nm is right at the edge of the visible spectrum, so it's not very visible, but this also makes it more dangerous because its looks are decieving. If it's your first laser you might be disappointed with 50mW of 405nm. It will put a bright spot on the wall but it won't be very impressive. One thing you can do with it is shine it at things fluorescent or glow in the dark.

What do you plan to do with it? Does it need to be focus-able?

Well it's kind of an odd request for 50mW of 405nm. I certainly have ones around or at that range for super cheap if that's what he really wants. All the 405nm and 650nm way overspec pens I own are very stable. Probably going to be hard to find one from a reputable company that is actually 50mW and can focus. Laserbtb is a good source for a quality unit but unless someone actually measures it I bet it will be overspec and the ones they sell drastically increase in output the more voltage they get plus they are not focusable.
