Too obvious indeed. they are ruining their reputation deeper and deeper down the drain. Can't imagine why they dont have the slightest notice this seems uber fake.

Same goes for the post about a visit to their office, by some guy who just happend to be arround there. and talking about all the wonders and happyness he experienced in the beautifull production facility and labs of the Wicked Laser Family. ;D ;D

oh Glory to WL ! the great leader we shall never talk bad about, and always honor for his kindness towards his people giving free laserpointers for loyal followers and worshippers.

hmm.. what was the basic concept of communism again? anyone? :-? ::)
 
Speaking of the TEC, wasn't it proven that it doesn't even contain one? Irregardless, Wicked is digging its own grave and their forum isn't helping matters any, or should I say the way they run it.

IMO, all evidence points to that it actually does contain a TEC. How effective is it? Now that's a different story.
 
OMG pseudo dared to say "Aries" and "RPL" on lasercommunity, *AND* said they were better than the Spyder!! *...waits for the post to mysteriously vanish or change to "Spyders are the best laser ever invented, they cure cancer, eliminate poverty, and won the war in Iraq."*
 
Indeed, many posts are gone, and i think they are going to hit the censur or delete button on pseudo's reply any time soon.   It violated about 5 of their rules on forbidden communications.    ;D

(disobeying their regime... *tusk, tusk* - turning to the dark side, aren't ya pseudo?) ;)

I'm not sure about all that were pulled, but I'm guessing some of the comments like me_too_lazy's were pulled by chargerman, and I don't blame him. They may have been funny, but not at all appropriate for the thread. Again, I see WL mods being blamed for the "regime" of the admins - makes me feel a little sorry for the mods in a way. I can definitely understand Boomdog's resignation.
 
well yes, i do blame the people in charge rather than all the mods, though there is a small part of me that thinks perhaps the mods should realise that the new rules are eroding real community or real laser discussion, and i have more respect for those who would resign in protest than those who'd be a part of enforcing the new rules. is this why boomdog resigned?

An example of communism would be WL not having the choice of deleting posts from it's website. If the promotion of alligience were not permitted, or if it was specified, that would be communism.

The removal of the freedom of censorship in the private sector. (This is where a lot of people get screwed up about "free speech".)

Placebo - I have no desire for WL to fall on their butts, I am just sitting by and watching it happen. The only issue I personally take with their new rules and regs is that WL was kinda the cornerstone of lasers back in the day....a lot of people see them, and then go to their forum and since they are not informed any better, get sucked into the pit of despair that is the RMA process....now, OTHER companies have had to have items RMA'd before - please do not think I am inferring that ! Anywho - if they do not change their ways, they will not dissappear, but they will not be seeing as many digits in the black as they used to I think.
 
I know you're not Senkat, I shouldn't have been so inclusive when I made that commentary. I didn't mean to speak for everyone here and I should have said so.

I can only wish the best for the Wicked Laser company itself, they have some really cool looking lasers, only wish I could afford them.  ;)



On the other hand I wouldn't mind if the whole "lasercommunity" thing went the way of the dinosaurs.........more members for us here!  :P
 
You know normally when I see these Fantastical, Bullshit posts about Spyders I normally just laugh myself into a coughing fit and then just ignore them.  But this one really takes the cake, even to the point of using GREEN text !!! LOL !!!

It was blatantly obviuos that that guy was WL, if not, then he was paid off some how to BULLSHIT about them.

If WL spent half the amount of time making their Spyders do what the "CLAIM" they will, instead of making up Posts that only "STATE" that they do, then these type of posts will be written for them by Satisfied Customers.  I've always been of the belief that "word of mouth" is not only the BEST type of advertising you can get, but also the cheapest !!!

It really peeves me to know that after reading these CRAP posts that some poor sucker is going to spend $1700.00 of their hard earned cash only to be, more than likely, bitterly dissapointed.  And if that's not bad enough THEN finding themselves having to fork out MORE hard earned cash as well as MORE waiting(which we all hate) to deal with multiple RMAs and possibly MORE dissapointment only to try and get what they paid for.  Which IMO is not asking too much !!

As the Spyder II's stand now, these type of posts are nothing but a ruse and I felt a moral obligation to point one of them out.  I hate seeing people getting sucked in and ripped off.

If you are reading this WL PULL your fingers out and either make the specs. fit the Spyders OR better still make the Spyders fit the specs !!!  They have the potential to be a great Laser, so make them that !!! Stop making up BULLSHIT to deceive people that may or may not know any better !!

Don't get me wrong there are some good ones out there according to their owners, which I do believe, and that's excellent.  There just needs to be more of them doing what WL says they will.

This is my 2 cents
