This may sound dumb, but I was reading that laser diodes come in chip and bar form. One, does anyone know any good info on these things. I want to learn more about them. And two, I have seen some pictures of them and I can't tell which side is the output. If I were to get one how would I know which way to point it? Thank you for any help given.
