WOW that is a long match light :o ! That's a fine laser right there! ;)

indeed!....very nicely put together.....the focusing knob is a bit sensitive...but stays put very well...i cant imagine how sensitive the aixis lens adjustment is....

....Took her outside for a balloon pop at over 50 FEET!!......took a few seconds...but she nailed it! ;)

I did this with my focusing knob:

i drew 2 sharpie marks that i can match up, this indicates the best focus for overall far away and non close range. So from this mark i only need to turn it a little bit counterclockwise. somewhere between that mark and 90 degrees, 90 degress would be for burning from a few inches away. I suggest doing this, it's very helpful.

yea Jay marked mine witha general 10-15foot distance adjustment....but i may add some more for 20-50feet.. ;D

....im really enjoying this thing!!!

Glad to see this thread! That you like the laser. Nice video too...
Jay

UPDATE: just wanted to inform everyone that this laser has tons of time on it now.....and STILL hot as new....love it....i use it to entertain guests to the house by lighting the grill...popping balloons...you name it.....lol...thanx Jayrob for a GREAT laser!

What diode is in it, what current is it running at, and what is the cost?
It looks great. Good review.  :)
BTW: Nice build, Jay.
