So, who kept asking "who is going to focus all 24 to a point first?"

Well, I have done it. And it is epic.

It instantly ignites matches. Not the match end, I mean the wood end. And when I say instantly, I mean instantly.

It also instantly ignites white paper. Which is also incredibly hard to put out while trying to make a video.

How easy was it? Well, the people who should know will be able to see how I did it. You will lol when you see how easy it is.

Videos and pics are on the way!

I was thinking shine them all at a parabolic mirror, but that works too :)

As I said in the comments, that is pure awesomeness. Congratulations, and don't burn too much with it! (Hope your goggles are rated to keep out all of that 24W!)

UMMMM holy crap!

EDIT: I love the buzzing sound as its destroying the match ahaha :scared:

Pontiac, you're having too much fun :eg: those fumes can't be good to breathe in though. But who am I to talk, I never wear a respirator when I should, so meh. Back on topic, what are you using to focus the diodes to a tiny point like that?

You have, as far as I know, the highest power density at the focal point, of any (visible) laser on the forum. I'm hoping that with that great power comes great joy - have fun and play safe :)

Yep now all you need is another projector sitting on top, on the right angle so both focal points are in the same spot... :o that would be amazing! Good job tho!

I no longer have the strongest focal point :P

Its been dismantled and all diodes extracted. Can't keep the people waiting.

Expect more vids from the next projector. I need to prepare a place outside because the amount of smoke this thing puts off is nuts!

Sorry, I'm pretty sure someone here has a 40W YAG, so you've still got a ways to go. Two projectors focused to one point might get you there ;).
