back on topic: I see lots of people purchasing stuff without using this coupon. not sure why, i guess they don't know about LPF :)

i just harvested my first open can today. took about an hour and was pretty tricky. I'm thinking of putting it an a dorcy jr but am not sure what resistor value I should use. I've been putting 5.1 ohm on the dorcy for my 245mW diodes but I'm thinking I should give the open can more current. Anyone have any experience with an open can in a dorcy and could recommend a resistor value? I'm heading up to Mid-State electronics tomorrow to get some resistors and am thinking 2.2 ohm unless someone else has a better idea.

should be pretty sweet though once i finish, jake21 sent me some heatsinks so I'm gonna put one of them on it as well and keep it for myself :) i bought 4 dvd burners tho and will be making 3 open can lasers for sale, i'm not sure what they sell for, anyone know whats average? i was thinking around $100 or 120...

good luck with finals for those who are in college :o i've got physics: optics and cpsc: algorithms finals coming up
 
I got a 250mW open can from Amkdeath for $87. I think the prices vary based on the "professionality" of the build and builder.
