Help with component for 405nm < 1mW laser

Hello everyone!

First time poster/laser newb from Australia here, just wondering if anyone has any ideas about this component that broke off my laser, I was trying to reattach the laser diode/circuit board back into the housing after trying to adjust the potentiometer on the circuit board but I ended up snapping a part off, it looks like a mini transformer with very thin gauge wire wrapped around it multiple times with 2 points soldered to either side of the on switch?

Not quite sure what that is(someone who has more knowledge with laser will be of much greater help), but just a heads up. Your laser is far from <1mW of 405nm, please be careful with it. 99% of the time those kind of labels are only so it can make it past customs.

Looks like you broke off the inductor. At The very least you'll need a new driver (that's the circuit board).

Hey thanks for the heads up, the mW quoted online was 200mW+ so I know its much more powerful that, I was meaning to say <1W but got a little mixed up :S but it is much less powerful than a 1watter

No, not the housing, I mean the little part
that broke off. It should have had 3 numbers
on its top, like 332 or 683 for example.

I think its flinged off somewhere when I was reattaching it to the housing so no luck finding it, I had a quick look on ebay and purchased a $10 driver that was 405nm and roughly around the same mW rating, so I'll just remove the diode on the last driver and re-solder it over to the new one, hopefully it works :)
