Im ready to dive in and buy a badass laser monster> my budget is $1200 and was leaning towards a hercules 350 but i came across tech lsers and they offer the same power for less money. WHich is better or if there is another vendor better than both im welcome to opinions.

Do you want a cheap laser or a high-quality laser?

If you want an amazing laser, go with a RPL from optotronics(link below).
Optotronics RPL Portable Green Lasers

If you want to save some money, peruse the lasers over at rayfoss(link below).
www.rayfoss.com

There are many, MANY sites that sell lasers. Search around this forum and you're bound to find the one that's perfect for you.

I bought my herc replica (tech laser) and love it....well divergence isnt that great but nothing the laserglow x10 cant handle...there is no duty cycle (tec) which is a plus...all laserglow herc. Products fit my titan techlaser too... 400mw of cycleless green for 450.00 yahh u missed this clearance special months ago sorry !!! if u have a budget of 1200.00 i would go with the herc.from laserglow or u could just save alot of money and go olike/rayfoss route..... watch b/s/t thread

more details man, you gotta give more details! What power, color, divergence, size, batteries, usage, etc.!

There are countless threads like this one being started all the time, and at least 90% of them all have this same problem -- lack of detail (and failure to use search function ;))

anyways if you like the Herc then obviously size isn't an issue, and you're looking for a rather-powerful Greenie. You seem to have the cash for a fine piece of art, so I'd look into the Optotronics RPL's (arguably the best PGL-sized Green lasers on the market).

peace & thanks

Contact Ava from CNI: sales@cnilaser.com
Ask for the 800mW version of the PGL-III(-C)-532

Personally I won´t go with a herc or anything different, because for me there is no need to run a laser for more than 2 Minutes at a stretch and the herc is so big! So you can go for double power at the same price, compared to the herc-700, you´re going to save around $7000! But ask Ava for any specific infos on this laser. I think there is no one with a stronger portable greenie on this forum.

Hey, on that link for PGL, it says Push Button, but on pics the laser is on without somebody pressing the switch.
So is it clicky or push button?

Also, that is LG's Aries if I am not mistaking, A.K.A. DL's Hulk. Right?

Always wanted a laser like that.

@ Freak999, do give this a shot.
CNI is most respected company out there, top notch quality.
This laser is very powerfull, yet not half a meter long like HERC.
I'd most seriously pick that one if I had your budget!

to be more specific, i want a laser that will last a long time not some cheapy that is being overdriven and die out in a month. I also want a greenie that can pierce through skin(not really) almost pierce trough skin. Ive seen footage on youtube where lasers bust black baloons from 100 feet away. that would be awesome. $1200 is alot of money for me but the laser bug has bit me and I want a powerful laser and am leaning towards the RPL optotronics 400mw. I waw the CNI 800mw but didn;t get a price and was questioning reliability and longevity of the laser itself. Still doing research though, any opinions are very appreciated.

Can't go wrong with the RPL. It is seriously an amazing laser. I don't know anyone who hasn't been completely satisfied by that product. :D It will last as long as you could hope from a laser, it will be overspec more than likely, and it will have great build quality.

im still trying to make up my mind on my laser> the optotronics is my first choice so far but looked at the rayfoss lasers and found more affordable lasers with good power> I dont know much about lasers, my first greenie was a 5mw ebay laser and my second was a nitrox lasers 100mw that did pop black baloons but only from 6 inches away. maybe under spec. All i want is a fairly good upgrade. WIll a rayfoss or olike greenie be better. i mostly want the ability to burn. thanks.

I would go with the CNI laser. Never head of a single one that was underspec.
CNI PGL-III-C-532nm-800mW/Unit Euro1000.00 (~ $1330)

Tell us your decision.

@ freak 999, Gee, when I saw this thread as the system had posted it, I thought you wanted help picking your nose !!!!! lol

I prefer RAYFOSS PRODUCTS for more bang for my buck.

But maybe he MUST spend > $1200 sooo rayfoss isn´t a option!

CNI will get you the best power/price ratio. My CNI PGL-III-C is still running >50% above spec after months of heavy use and it peaks at 200% it's rated power.
I've also got a blue PGL on the way.
I've also owned a few CNI pens... of all the green pens I have owned or played with, they were the best.
I can tell you from first hand experience that a CNI built laser is reliable.
If you'd like, you can check out my review of the PGL-III-C I own -- The link is in my signature. ;)

Optotronics is a great company also, you cannot go wrong with either, but I do not have personal experience there.

With a budget of $1200, I would go with a >400mW green and a >20mW blue from CNI. The two together should be very close to $1200 if not under... and 2 exotic colors is much better than one!

If you choose to go with CNI, I would suggest Glenn's Group Buy for CNI. It will save you $$$ on shipping costs.
