Hello from Italy,
I'm fresh new to this "discipline" or branch but very interested and curious about it...as I'm about to by my 1st laser (and oriented to have one Survival Laser), my 1st question as presentation will be: the laser-glasses that comes with mostly bundles are worthy to be wear everytime we light the laser or to avoid direct eyes exposure ? I mean watching the beam can be dangerous or only direct inside-eyes exposure ?

Tnx and hope to participate further more.

6 Steps To Prevent You From Getting Scammed

Appropriate Laser Safety Goggles/Glass should be worn
anytime that you use a powerful Laser..
That is to protect your eyes in case of an accidental Laser
beam going into your eyes from any reflective surface that
the Laser's beam may encounter...

While I would never tell a person that goggles are unnecessary, I will tell you that if you are outside and using your laser to point out stars and objects, you will not need to wear your goggles as looking at the beam will be harmless. Just watch out for helicopters and airplanes!

Looking at the dot from a close range can be dangerous, and the goggles should be worn for all indoor use.
