Hello everyone

I have been tinkering with electronics for a while, and now lasers have caught my interest. So far I have pretty much only dealt with 5mW lasers and I have already run into some problems, so it seems to be a reasonable move to join this forum and ask some advice from the more experienced folks here before moving on to more powerful lasers proper.

Smart choice, welcome! Anything in particular you need help with? I don't know much about electronic components but someone else here certainly does

I have posted a thread about the problem here: laserpointerforums.com/f40/optimal-current-300mw-808nm-diode-94274.html

Welcome to the forums. I wouldn't recommend you building a build using 808nm diode as they are barely visible to human eyes which will give you a fake sense of security. If you bought them because it is cheap, you can get a 405, 445 nm diodes that will burn for under twenty. I have a 175mw 405 that I paid 5 bucks for. For any blue any thing over 120 will burn. the green spectrum it is over 150 about the same for red. Also, remember to use certified laser goggles (not those from ebay) rated with the correct wavelength of your build.

Hi graph :)

Welcome to the forum. marcuspeh said it perfectly. :gj:
Be sure that you get safety goggles for your lasers wavelength and power output.
Have fun and be safe!!
