I will always endorse the Dragon Lasers gratings because at 11.99 a pop they ARE the best ones out there. I have taken thousands of photographs using them and there are NONE out there at that price that give the results I have achieved using them, and I have not seen any posts on this forum showing a better one at the same price.. I spent 65 dollars for a Laserglow 5 line glass grating and it is only a quarter inch in diameter and very hard to use and the quality is not much different. I have extensively searched the web for diffraction gratings and for the money DL's are the best for the money. I have Optotronics and other grating films, and even when cutting them to fit a 35 mm slide to make them usable, they do not compare in quality. I have dropped and broken one of my DL gratings and it broke in a few pieces and it does not look to me that it is plastic glued to glass, as the edges are very sharp with no signs of plastic film hanging over the edges, but that is only by appearance. I have spent a ton of money on my laser collection and to spend 11.99 per grating is something I would not give any thought to.
And as in my PM to Shakenawake a while ago, DL does charge 18 dollars to ship one piece, + the 11.99 does equal 30 dollars. So if you order a few at the same time it will knock that cost down. My job in the real world is basically shipping product all over the USA from Truck Loads weighing 42500 lbs down to packages weighing one pound and everything in between. To ship even a tiny piece of glass to the USA from China 18 dollars is really not that bad of a price. Every grating I did purchase from them was ordered with lasers so it did not cost anything to ship them.
