Come on, people!

First he had to order it

Then he had to wait (not knowing for sure if these would contain the correct sleds)

Then he had to open the package

Then he had to tear the sled out of the DVD unit (using full ESD protection, I'm sure).

Then he had to de-solder the ribbon cable with his soldering iron (making sure to limit the amount of time the iron was in contact with the diode.

Then he's going to have to protect the now exposed pins

Then he's going to have to package the thing back up to ship it out.

On top of all that, a guy's got to make an hourly wage, doesn't he?

Peace,
dave

on top of all that, shipping will be faster ;D

Regardless, he's taken the risk out of trying to find for sure the high powered diode. Your getting the same diode that is in a bluray burner. For $55 Deal any way you look at it.

i took the other 308 diode and it had the mark on the diode, so i took it and placed it in a axiz module and soldered it to a boost driver powered by 1aaa and this is the brightest br diode i owned, but u can see the marking on the diode rite in the middle sorry for the big pic

Deal any way you look at it ? Only if you are looking SIDEWAYS ! Wow - you can buy this EXACT sled from PSXBOY for $38 ! I call a $17.00 profit for ripping apart a HD dvd player kinda ridiculous. The part Jake is showing is the SAME ! I don't see a deal - obviously my glasses need cleaning or something...unless this is a special, "blessed" part by the laser Gods or something ?Sniff...sniff...Yeah...I'm smelling that, too.... Thumbs down on this "deal" as far as I am concerned, sorry.
