This thread will from now on be my sale thread. I'll update it as I have more lasers built. I have a massive amount of hosts, but hadn't had the time to build anything. But now it's summer! So the building has begun... :beer:

Update: Bad news: my logic board died in my Macbook 2 days ago, they say it'll be a $900 replacement :mad: So! These lasers have to go because I have to get me a new computer... soon

1.) Next is an Eghemus pen host that is absolutely beautiful. Flexdrive set at 1.3A and an Aixiz glass lens, should be outputting around 1.1W. I will include 1X 14650 battery. I'm really sad to see this one go :( I'll give this guy a nice polish before he leaves ;) Asking $160 shipped Priority mail

Thought maybe so myself. But that's an odd sized driver for this host, no?

EDIT: Also, I don't think we ever came to the conclusion that the AK-007 put out 1000mA, did we? I know I build one that measured 1W output (just barely), but I don't think my conclusion was that we hit 1,000mA output. I'm not sure I even measured it in my OP, did I?

EDIT: I like that driver a lot. I've mailed my extra off to another forum member already, to verify and construct an input/output IV test.

rhd, how stable is the ak007 running a 12x? Also, I cant remember if you stated it already, is there a way to bypass the modes on it?

BH: No clue, I've never built a 12x with one. As is typical when I test new LED drivers for good LD driver candidates, I generally order just 2. One to try out, one to test again if the first one works. So my experience with the AK007 was limited to 2x of them, and my follow-up order is still in the mail.

So chances are, some of the people that ordered the driver after my original post, have already garnered more experience with the driver than I.

I'm not opposed to testing it out as soon as mine arrive. However, I'm just placing my next 12x order tomorrow, so it will be a month or so before I have any 405s to test it with.

Wait, I think we are confusing drivers... In your ak007 thread it says you tested it with a 12x.

I cant get any of my ak 007s to even give me any output... Strange.

so the shiningbeam boost drivers are actual Constand Current drivers??
