flexdrive batteries

My laser uses a flexdrive v5. I have been using 1 18650 battery for it so far but i have a couple of CR123 batteries lying around and was wondering if i could use 2 CR123s for it too or will this ruin the driver? The driver is set to 1A if that is important

If my memory serves, the max voltage input for the flexdrive is 5.5v, so two CR123 will fry it.

Yeah dude, You would need to put a few diodes in series before the driver.
