Finished my test load this weekend and I don't think it turned out too bad.

Once I pick a host, I will be able to build my laser. I am planning to build my own DDL driver and already have all of the parts.

What laser diode are you using in your first laser?

I purchased a pair of LPC-815s. Already removed one from the heat sink and hooked it up to an o-like driver to make sure that I did not destroy it getting it loose. It is already pressed in an Aixiz. I got glass lenses. I ran it on an o-like driver up to 200mA and it works fine. I am planning to build my driver for 400mA.

Ha ha. Usually my girlfriend finishes my "test" load for me.

Really sorry for the juvenile joke. Hope it doesn't rub anybody the wrong way; we could have a real mess on our hands.

@jub dude your test load only has 4 diodes. mine has 10. I had to pay to get my test load finished off for me though, I can't work with my hands like other people can.

On a more serious note, I have yet to build a LPC, but report back and tell us how it goes! :beer:
