Yeah, the opening is only 4mm so it will certainly help keep the dust out.

I left one on for quite a while yesterday while I did LPM and Spectro testing. Everything seemed very stable.

The glow caps fit the orange 593.5 pointers as well...

Totally recommended piece of engineering. Both mine still work as new after nearly two years (regular usage).

Cool tip, will help keep the lens clean too.

For other design pointers, try those little covers on disposable vapes. The best are 18mm by 18mm and stretch out a lot further. Transparent & thin, flexible and last forever (as well as keeping the lens spotless).
