Engraving violet, or 405nm to 450nm; at 1 to 3 Watts... Would it work with 4 Volts ?

Hello.
The ones offered in the market mention they work with 5V. Is it 5V because there is a current limiter built-in or because it is the maximum supply to it or any suggestion to source one that works with a 18650 cell ?
