Efficient Driver?

I haven't posted here in a while! But I've been lurking, I have been using the LM317T circuit to drive my diodes. But from what I've seen and from what others have said it isn't very efficient. I don't care too much about it and could just go buy a prebuilt driver, but I was just curious if anyone knew a better alternative. Thank you.

You can also look on x-wossee on eBay for many drivers that DTR carries too.
