Customs question

If US customs seizes an item will you be sent a customs letter. If a seizure occures will your addy be flagged? This is how it works for certain prohibited items. In case of seizure will most sellers send a replacement free of charge (guarantee delivery)? Will it need to be sent to another addy? Has anyone dealt with this?

i've never had any lasers confiscated by customs, but most companies will resend if it happens
