I finally got my CNI labby in today after 3 nervous days in customs. It's rated at 500mW and according to CNI is doing 592mW. I'll be testing the power today at work. Here are a couple pictures and a quick video that I just took. The pictures are just standard auto exposure with no flash. No long exposure or anything. I ran out of matches so I'll have to pic some up on the way home later so I can do the required lighting things on fire.

:o Sweet, I saw the reflections on the wall when you walked through the beam.

How much did that set you back ??

Diachi

Yeah and that was reflecting off of my dark pajama pants.

It was $980 after all the shipping and fees. It was a large amount, but considering the prices of most other 500mW units I have seen and the price of most portables that are 300mW and up, I got a really good deal.

$980, thats a lot less than I expected, I expected somewhere over $1100, that is a great deal.

I might get a 100mW CNI labby from Laser Show Parts at some point :)

Probably get a BR first though.

Looking forward to seeing more videos soon ;)

I just got home from work with matches so I'm gonna go light some on fire. :D

here are a few more pics and a match light. The pics with the second green are of my aixiz for a brightness comparison.

I feel the shame of the 130mW module from AixiZ :-[

I think I'll cut myself (insert EMO smiley here)

Peace,
dave

is that the normal price for one of these lasers? or was this a discount or sale price? :-?

Max

That was the standard price. It was $800 for the laser and the rest was shipping and bank transfer fees.

$800 standard for a 500mW green labby of that quality? Holy crap, that's insane.

They sell any blue labbys?

of course they do... it's CNI!

Buying direct from CNI always gets ya the good prices. And you get to talk to Ava all the time.

Wow nice, I wish I had one of those to throw in my scanner right now, 40mw gets boring after a while :P

Since all I can buy from now on is labbys, I think my next laser is going to be a CNI 8-)

I wonder how much a 1 watt green costs...
