It's been many moons since I was in here. I started learning CNC milling/engraving, ended up using a Laser engrave software for my gerbil code, and am looking to swap in a laser module.
Can anyone recommend where to go, including whether there's a specialty forum or channel for that, and what to ask about setting up Diode lasers in the 20-100W range? Knowing trustworthy brands, companies, and so on would also help.
I also have questions about the safe color of plexiglass/acrylic. These diode laser modules seem to be primarily in the 440-445nm range, and they are actually 5w to 5.5w diodes stacked in chains with little mirrors, so a stack of 4 = 20W, stack of 8 = 40W etc.
