Those are some amazing deals on a bunch of unique stuff, The MSV4's are 16340 Version, Limited Edition. Only one batch of those (12) hosts were made. Good luck Isaac these should go quick :beer:

For someone who wants to make there first laser, how difficult would the msv4 be to build? The way you describe it up there doesn't make it seem to hard but im sure it is for someone who doesn't know what there doing. Either way I'm sure it'll be sold by the time I decide, its a nice looking host.

Here would be the steps:

1. Use tools(flaminpyro may make one, or you can just mcguiver it) to remove the prepressed copper module from the host.
2. Use a C-clamp to press your diode+module+driver into the host. Driver should be microboost or flexdrive to be sure it will fit.
3. Connect battery input to driver.
4. Screw head in and turn on.

Altogether simple provided you have access to tools.

PM sent on C-mount. Been seriously considering a handheld with one of these to run in at max output. Could use some advice on someone who could build what I need first. I put all this in the PM but I am writing some here in hopes someone will read it and let me know who might be able to construct the mechanical aspects for me.

Ever since I saw the thread on the handheld built with these I knew I would have to put one together myself someday.

PM replied. Pretty much all the machinists are offering something or could make something. If you don't want to worry go with jayrob, he built his own 5W'er.

UPDATE: I have been informed that the 5W 650 diode is being sold now for 350 from DTR. So now instead of 400 plus shipping I am asking 385 SHIPPED for the diode plus the 50 dollar lens. This price includes the Paypal fees so 385 is what you would be charged, no more than that. Let me know and if you have offers or trades let me know as well, although I am mainly just looking to sell rather than trade.

If anybody wants to bundle stuff let me know and I will work with you to find a nice price.
