Blurry I think Dust?

I just got this laser today, And after lighting a match I think some of the smoke got into the laser.

heres a pictures
The biggest blob is without the focusing lens
The smallest is max focus but you can see a little ring around it

P.s. I was thinking compressed air. but the hole that you could clean anything is only this big

Your best bet is a q-tip damp not soaked, with 99% alcohol. Dont rub, take gentle
swipes using a 'clean' spot of cotton per swipe.

Use 4 or 5 q-tips in total taking care not to drag any grime around on the lens,
this can cause scratches.
 
Take some Q-tips and alcohol to clean the lens. Just gently turn the Q-tip in the hole.
After that take another Q-tip to clean the residu.

Compressed air will be the easiest method.

You got some smoke/soot on the lens....

The best way to clean it would be to remove it, soak in acetone, and than wipe with high concentration alcohol. That will take some work though.

You can remove the top part by simply unscrewing it:

After that in the top section you will see the actual lens, looks like this (more or less):

See how much compressed air helps, and go from there.

The q-tip/91% alcohol approach can work well... not as well, but well. Just need to take a bit off cotton of the q-tip to get it in there.

You dont want to 'turn' it.. It can drag particles and scratch.. Gently swipes in
one direction will save you headaches in the long run ;)

The lens is actually kind of deep in the host... so there is no way to wipe, turning is the only option.

Can't really see... it's not in the pictures....

But it's a standard host.

It does fit a qtip if you take off some of the cotton.
 
On sensitive materials like CMOS chip in DSLR I will swipe once in one direction but lens surfaces are normally strong enough. Just use the Q-tips gently.
Sometimes I clean my L-lenses with my breath :D

Lol... BAAAAD idea... if you have a cheap green that already has plenty of artifacts... turn it on in the dark and look at the halo. After that breathe on it an do it again... fun to watch as the now bigger green halo slowly contract as the water dries up:tinfoil:
 
No its, not, I am sure because without the lens before it was a perfect circle.
Now its scattered dots that look like a nebula.
 
The lens in the top portion is what focuses the light... without the collimating lens you should be seeing a green nebula.
