battery for 550nm 80mw-100mw ?






post a picture of the image here. when i clicked on the link my computer stopped me from going to the site and said it wasnt a safe site.....:scared:

also laserbtb doesnt have a 550nm laser on the site or if they do its hidden

That's an 808nm (IR) unit (unless of course you are just posting a generic pic of an lp Sky unit)... (2) AAA. Glasses;)

i'ts bizarre because the laser make a red dot !I think the paper is not good, it was my first choice and then I switch to a 650nm (fda)
ps: I got wrong desoler for reference in my post above
 
Yes it can. I have that unit (look at bottom of my sig). Own an lp808-400B which is 808nm, 400mw and it absolutely makes a red dot at that power. Whatever you do, don't shine it in your eyes! IR is the danger that you cannot see!
What are the full numbers on the unit after the 808?

Then it is 100mw IR laser. You should not be able to see a red dot on anything it's pointing at at that kind of power unless it's WAY overspec. Only red you would see is if you looked inside the unit and you don't want to do that.

So I think it is a 650nm (not IR) and the glued on laser paper is wrong! I change the product for my order, he had to remember to change the paper ...
can you tell me what battery I need to set it?
 
I disagree about not being able to see the dot (I can see 4mW of 780nm from 20ft away on a white wall) but the advice is sound. It looks like the OP got an "invisible" NIR laser when he meant to get a green. Perhaps see if SKY lasers will accept a return and exchange?
 
how little I know if it's a 650nm or 808nm please, and if it is a 808nm, with good battery it will work like a normal laser not seen that with small stack I see Beam?

Go to an electronics store and buy a 3 dollar red laser pointer( usually up at point of sale). Compare the dots. If yours is darker then it is a 808nm laser, if they are the same it is a 650.
 
If the model number has 808 in it, it isn't going to be a red 650nm laser, it will be a mostly invisible 808nm laser. You won't see the beam of an 808nm laser ever, and it is potentially more dangerous to your eyes than any visible wavelength. If it was 100mW of 650nm the spot would be super bright cherry red and you would see the beam in the air when in a very dark room as bits of dust are caught in the beam.
 
I did a test with chalk in the dark I see the residues and thus the beam, which testifies that this is not an infrared? or am I wrong?
 
Is the beam a bright red when you do that? If you light a match and wave the smoke into the beam of the laser, do you see a bright red beam?
