awesome lab quality 50mw modules for 65.00+5.00 sh

I ordered one of these from ebay on the 28th of june:

When I got it it was set at the minimum level. I adjusted the pot and got an AMAZING 101 mw's! These are rated for 50 mw, and I was extremely suprised to see it putting out 100 mw! I emailed aixiz and asked if these were safe to run at the high power, the answer was:
"As long as it is cooled."

I have since ordered a second one because this is too good of a deal to pass up for another nice green lab style laser. The modules are focusable, and the power supply is powered by 110 ac. There is a pot that sets the power level from about 20 mw to 100mw on the first one using my lpm-1, I haven't received the second one yet, but I will post what it does when I get it.I will post some more pictures of it when my batteries have charged up on the camera. I have mounted the module in an old scsi dat drive enclosure and it works very nicely!

hmm, didn't see that one, :-/ oh well, at least they are both doing close to 100 mw! I really like mine, and when I get the second one, well see if it also does 100mw.

I wonder why they sell these as 50mw... I hope they continue to work good at the high power setting. Mine doesn't look quite the same as the ones in the pics on the other thread, I guess there are slight differences in the modules. one thing about it is that the beam is really nice, its a lot better than the laser I got from lanlingtech and I paid about 270.00 for that one, and it was rated at 150mw, now it only does about 100mw. This one is a much better deal, I could have had 4 of these for what the lanlingtech cost...

Thanks. It has plenty of room so it wont get hot fast, plus I will add a fan if I plan on a long run time. I thought it looked kinda cool in the old dat case, and the origional power cable fit on the modules plug with no modification.

I have the second laser now, and just tested it, before changing the pot it was putting out 5.6mw, after I turned up the pot, it is now doing an awesome 137mw!! WOW! I didn't think I'd ever see a 130mw from a 65 dollar laser!
