I have found a supplier in china with 803t's. I have got his price down from $33 to $30. I know that this is no miraculous deal but they are 803t's. If there is someone who wants to try and bargin him down further, or organize a GB, pm me and ill pass his contact info along. I told him I could find enough buyers to make it worth his time, but he wouldnt go lower than $30.

Any takers?

Joe.

Yeah Joe, I'd be interested in the deal, & you can send it to me with the other stuff you promised to give me, but never did, right before you banned me from PM contact with you. You just coulda said no! rob

This might be good for people not in the US because of shipping and duty fees. However, until we exhaust the supply of the Toshiba drives, here in the US, they are cheaper in the DVD drive than by just the sled.

Peace,
dave

I totally agree, the dvd roms are gold as far as price is concerned. But when I attempted to order another batch the other night on geeks, I was shocked to see "unavailible" :(  There are a few other sources, but they also seem to be depleting. Related searches keep pointing to geeks.com, that cant be good if they cant get anymore.

Long story short, and in a panic I began searching for another source. I am sure there are persons on this site able to talk this guy down further than I was able to do. As for shipping, from geeks.com they wanted $160. for 20 units for my location (Toronto Canada), which in total worked out to be approx. $25. per unit Not to mention the $50. for customs... >:(

Dude, You needed a diode driver, I sent it! and a diode. As for the obsesive compulsive behavior, I dont respond to it.

is that shipped ? i found a few sites thats 30 shipped

I didnt ask about the shipping, because I didnt have a definative number of desired units. But a GB with a standing member can only bring that price down further. :) I hope

The last I heard from you is you were leaving for a meet in Toronto, but had found the diode, but your wife had moved some boxes around & you couldn't find the "bloomin' drivers"( Do the words sound familiar, they're yours) I never used the word 'bloomin' in my life, unless referring to flowers, but you'd send them after you found them. Then you went to Toronto, & I never heard anything back from you, 'cause if I did I'd have your return address in my book, & I don't! rob

I live in Toronto, I sent you no such message about leaving for Toronto. That was an assumption you made after viewing one of C.C's threads regarding "laser meet Toronto". You sent me your address, I found the parts, sent out the driver and an 808 at no charge. And the emails continued, with the addition of "what else can you send". I offered you a part to fix a dead laser, I am not the only member to have sent you the same requested parts for the same laser. I cannot keep sending parts that I need, the original offer was what is was.

I'm sorry I must have been mistaken & I erased the Emails from on or about MAY 12-14, but had you sent me something I always record return addresses under a Members Forum name, & I have nothing for 'wannaburn or a Joe ? But with no way to prove anything, all I can do is offer you my sincerest apologies, will you accept? Also, if you could please (if you save them) check any stored PM's from you to me from around May 12 -14. I'd appreciate it , but if you don't save PM's, then please just accept my apologies. phoenix77/rob 8-)

Unless something comes up in the next week (starsurplus is "looking"), this may be the best deal in the house.

Peace,

well, I'm on the lookout for some 803t's, though I was hoping to pay less than $25 ea for them... $30 plus shipping seems kinda steep right now...

at any rate, I'll have some disposable cash two weeks from friday, at which point I'll be looking for about 5 of these at whatever the lowest price I can find is.

Remember, before we found these Toshiba drives $40 (to PSX Boy) wasn't too much to pay and we were scrounging up old XBox 360 HD DVD add on units taking a chance on getting an 0811 sled instead.

Peace,
dave

wow here we go good news for anyone making and selling blurays though
since price per sled just doubled

bad news for buyers :'(

Well it would probably be best if a hard hitting negotiator took the info over and try to drive a better deal. There is always a chance of getting a lower price.

ive been looking around but this is all i could find:

toshiba h802a drives 10x38$ 50x36$ 100x35$
phr-803t sleds 10x35$ 50X30$ 100x28$

ill have too look into the site further but all their info seems legit so far...prices dont include shipping so im still looking... :'(
