found a 500mw blue diode on odicforce for 45 pounds. If i have 45 at the end of this month im gunneq get one, only problem is there isnt a driver that goes up to 600ma which is the minimum for 500mw. Its also reported to be ran up to 1w with a really good heatsink :D anyone know of a driver that goes that high?
Thanks
matt

Use a microboost driver from drlava and any one of several hosts from Jayrob or Ehgemus

Peace,

What host do you have from odic? U need a good sized heatsink for a high powered 445.

Though Odicforce has some nice hosts and kits for starting out with green or red, you might want to shop around a bit. The 45 pounds price is about $70USD; you can get the same diode in the GB or sales forum for about $40-$50 USD shipped. I don't know what host you're getting from Odic, but make sure it's a bit beefier than those cheap focusable kinds that are usually sold by that site. The only one that site has that I think might be decent is the waterproof one, but that was made for green.

You'll also want to buy a lens that made for your blue diode. That means a glass 405nm lens (works for 445nm as well) from Aixiz or from Jayrob. Make sure your host can properly hold the module for it too.
