50 mW greenie from ledshoppe wont burn

I just bought a 50mW greenie from ledshoppe and it will not burn it dosent even get warm. It should be focused properly hopefully. The "divergence" if im using the correct word seems about the same as me 5 mW galileo from laserglow so idk what so do. Would anybody suggest a high voltage battery and how would i come about finding them.

most 50mW greens aren't going to burn out of box. You're gonna need an external lens to focus it on your target. PM LarryDFW for one, he's got them last time I checked. Also, check out this thread:

alright thanks for the help, but would adding maybe a lithium battery or something give it a little extra boost or would i risk burning the diode.

Generally, it's best to use the batteries that the manufacture recommends. Plus, if it has a proper driver, increasing voltage shouldn't effect output performance, but we know that's not always the case with these.
