OMG i don't have a driver yet but today there is a frekin FOG you jujst can't imagine it.
I NEED to see the 445nm beam in this. Can I direct driver the xj diodes with only a resistor and a 18650? or is it too dangerous? i promise beamshots!

Thanks

One lithium ion cell does not have enough voltage to provide current neccesary to COD the 445nm diode. People reported ~400mW of 445nm light at direct 18650 driving. Resistor not needed.

I would STRONGLY advise you to put some linear one together or just simply use another laser.

After all, direct driving diodes is the first thing we teach people around here NOT to do ... :undecided:

Up to you, I guess.

Good luck.

YEAHHHHHHH FUCK YEAH I USED LM317 @500mA OMGGGGG LOOK AT THIS

I know I shouldn't drive LDs without driver... but hell, I was too excited, lolz.

Gawd, you should see the night yesterday, fog as dense as milk.

Used an Arctic with crosshair generator.

No words to describe the epicness.

LOL, yeah.... I hadn't seen fog as dense as this in years..... this is epic, you can even see very well a 100mW PHR.... epic
