30mW JDSU Single line argon laser system - £60+ shipping PRICE DROP

Hi Guys,
Its time to sell my argon laser. I've had it a while, and never really got round to using it properly. I need to send some moey to ken, so it is up for sale. I'm hoping to be able to sell it to a European member only, as these things are rare here.

I have a JDSU 2210_30SLQT laser. It is a single line laser, running at 488nm. The sticker on the side indicates that it gets ~4mW at 3.8A, and 33.7mW at 7.85A.

The laser comes with power supply, fan and dryer hose, although you need to attach the hosing to the fan and laser. You will need a controller - I can send plans for these if you want to build one, or you can get them prebuilt. I will send some parts along if I can fnd them, but this is not a guarantee.

I'm asking £60+ shipping. Feel free to offer lower, but dont get pissed if I don't accept:yh:

Any chance I could get the plans from you for building the controller? I have a jds argon and spectra physics psu, but no controller, and I'd like to build one rather than buy one. Thanks:beer:

I'l find it for you - but I'm not sure if you can use a JDS laser with a SP PSU

I haven't run it in a couple of weeks, but I'll see if it lights for you. As for the offer, Is there any way you can increase it a little? As it stands, the offer is about 1/2 of my asking price. I'm from the UK

Let's say I build an interface to control the current. Can I drive this laser at 10 A and get more power? Also, can you calculate shipping to greece please?

You can. However, you will burn through the cathode and/or deposit cathode material on the mirrors much more quickly that way
