If I understand you right, you're asking what amperage you should drive a 22x diode at. People have been running 20x diodes at 420ma with good heatsinking no problem, so I'd say that with a good heatsink you can go to 450ma or so. Although it depends on how long you want it to live alsoI read somewhere on here that somebody was running his at 500ma without problems.
