I love the rest of the site too...Nothing in laser safety,and even selling a kipkay flashlight laz0r ... o.O No goggles,but a bunch of ridiculously overpriced mid powered lasers...

Re: The danger of lasers and rave parties, etc Apparently the lasers scan so quick & above eye level,that it SHOULD be safe...The incident in Russia actually happened because the morons put a tent up & still used the lasers,so the lasers reflected down into the eyes of the party goers.

Too right...I realized that way too late,and sure,they're great friends,but chances are 1/10000 that you'll get anything that involves smashing a bed out of it.On the other hand:They do make great friends ;)

Well,i guess you know that laser goggles that pass anything over 5mw to the eye are practically useless? But ill look into the other ones ;) BTW:Does anyone know what the WL lasershades are certified for?

Where would be the best place to purchase laser safety goggles for 650nm ? I'm mainly thinking in terms of assured & tested safety for red lasers,above 500mW ...

hmm,ive been away from the site for a couple of weeks,but from what i understand some of his shipped diodes can't be considered *safe*,since we don't know their specs/they get busted even though it should be safe,am i right?i got a diode from him back in December,and it burnt trough after around...

You can actually see a tiny rift where they are put together,the diode sits in the front end,and the driver in the back end,just secure the back end in a vise,and turn the front end of with pliers or something.Oh,and you WILL have to use some force,since the ends are glued AND screwed...

Dealextreme has one :p but it costs 35 usd or so...(not sure here)

Sure,anytime  ;) btw: http://stonetek.org/shop/ has everything youl need to build a high power red...though i would recommend playing a little w/ cheap 1-5mW laser just to get the idea...(not necessary,but recommendable to learn how everything reacts to it...though this is personal...
