yeah thats what my physics teacher says shorter wavelengths carry more energy, so if a red and green laser are powered the same the green would burn better so at same power least burning infrared>red>orange>yellow>green>blue>indigo>violet>ultraviolet (i think) > x-ray best burning

I don't think the military actually issues laser sights to anyone, can't think of why they wouldn't though, eye damaging devices have been restricted, from use in war (world wide I think) maybe thats it :o
