I had one from LG DVD burner that was 16x(closed can) and she worked for a while on 277mA with good heat sink. I didn't want to push her more than 350 (once or twice just for testing)....now she is dead but because of my mistake, current didn't killed her short cut did:( good luck with it...

I really don't know that but what i have seen here everyone who has 20x or 22x long open can diode, is giving her 420mA and they are saying that that is safe current for it but with good heatsink...........and for housing is used aixiz module with extra heatsink on it........ all...

everything is already written somewhere here on the forum......those 22x work fine with 420mA and good driver for built is DDL's who uses LM317T

Re: Question about multimeter and driver perfomanc those 0.1-0.2 ohm is probably resistance of wires from multi metar.......put your multimetar to measure the resistance and shortcut the wires and you will see how much he lies in his measurements........mine lies 0.8-0.9 ohm.......that happened...

i think its best to solder cap directly to diode thats how i did it cause that way he can't be charged without diode and wont kill it
