OMFG Long Open Can GB#2!!!!!! CLOSED

Would someone be so kind as to point me in the direction of some data sheets or current vs. power curves for these diodes? I just bought one but don't really know much about it and am looking for some knowledge before I begin my next project. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)...

    Driving a PHAZOR Question

So I got it working :) It's not as powerful as I was expecting but is quite a burner never-the-less. It seems a little less bright than my green 100mW but perhaps its difficult to compare the two given their different wavelengths/colors/laser type. If it is outputting around 150mW should I be...

    Driving a PHAZOR Question

I added 2 more 10 ohm resistors and it appears the current is limited to about 330mA when the pot is at least resistance. This is right about where I want to run my diode so this is good. When the current is at 330mA the voltage to the LD is about 3.5 Volts. Is this normal? It seems high. So I...

    Driving a PHAZOR Question

They are 2 10 Ohm resistors in parallel. As shown in the DDL circuit diagrams.

    Driving a PHAZOR Question

Hi, do I need to modify the DDL Driver in any way to get the 350mA for the Phazor Diodes? I have the driver all set up running from two fully-charged rechargeable CR123's. I am using a dummy load (4 1N4001 diodes in series) and am measuring the current (using a 1 ohm resistor) to be around 210mA...

PHR-803T HIGH POWERED HD-DVD diodes! CLOSED

Re: PHR-803T HIGH POWERED HD-DVD diodes! OFFICIAL Is this GB over? Or can I still buy a couple if I pay immediately?

Is my blu-ray running at a healthy current?

I just made my first blu-ray :D although I was unable to measure the driving current. I tried measuring the current using a test load and kept running into problems. Out of frustration I decided to just slowly turn the pot until I thought it was lasing descent but not at its brightest. I was...

Blu Ray and Phazor Data Sheets

Thanks! Those links help. I guess I am just looking for the optimum operating voltage and current for each of them. And I thought if their were some data sheets around that would be a good resource. With the massive amount of great information everywhere, sometimes its tricky to find the most...

Blu Ray and Phazor Data Sheets

I am having trouble finding any links to a data sheet for the Phazor or Blu ray diodes. Can anyone send me in the right direction? I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks

    DONE *** Feb. 9, 2008  NEW BluRay GB... *** D

Re: Feb. 9, 2008  NEW BluRay GB... I will gladly pay the increase. Haven't received an email yet, but as soon as I do I'll be sure to pay. Thanks DDL

    Is my diode dead?

It did cool between applications. I first just surrounded the module, then let it cool. Then glued over the actual diode to prevent the terminals from breaking or being twisted off. I did not solder the diode to the terminals but I have been very careful about shorting out the CAP before...

    Is my diode dead?

I did almost entirely surround the diode and module with hot glue, but not really all at once. Im sure it did get the module and diode quite hot, but only for maybe a minute or so.

    Is my diode dead?

While building a flashlight mod laser I hot glued a diode in place to prevent the LD terminals from breaking/twisting off. Would the heat from hot glue be enough to kill an almost brand new diode? I am testing the laser diode + ddl driver and am reading around 6.3 volts to the diode terminals...

    DIY Homemade laser diode driver

I see what your saying, and thank you for your help but I am using the host flashlight DDL used in his "make your own laser thread" so I only have room for 6v. How did he make his circuit in his mod with only a 6v source? I now see how to test the circuit for current thanks to that handy thread...

    DIY Homemade laser diode driver

Im using a dmm in parallel to measure voltage. My input voltage is 6V. I would measure the current with the dmm but I can't get the setting to work for some reason.

    DIY Homemade laser diode driver

I am only getting about 2.15 volts to the diode with the pot turned all the way up, so its lasing, but very weak. Any suggestions as to what my problem may be or how to increase the voltage/current?

    DIY Homemade laser diode driver

Gazoo, I have not tested it with a load yet so that makes sense. I was just using a DMM. Can I use a blue LED to test it, if I don't want to risk my diode? I will try that. Thanks for your help.
