I just killed a gnat/fruit-fly with two applications, first one made it jump and flutter on its side out of the way...and the second, I sort of followed it until it stopped dragging itself... It was acheived with a >125mW...so economically it is not going to beat a good old-fashioned...

As the title states, I am need to sell my 125mW Fusion. I have been able to ignited most white-tipped matches with it on a fresh pack of batteries and a bit of patience... black-tipped/sharpied-tipped matches go up nearly instantly, and continue to do so within a duty-time of around 40 to 60...

I have been able to ignite just about Any white-topped matches with my 125mW...and pre-subsequently, with the 125mW I'd sent back for RMA as well... Now whether or not they both out-putted more then 125mW or higher, is another story. At over a foot in distance, I have and can repeatedly...

Hmm nice, is the IR filter at the very tip/attatched to the apreture, as on thier other lasers ? If so, removing it would yeild the 5mW able to ignite matches PoTentially hmmm ? :-?

1st off wl/steve made the statement long ago, that any business between them and CNI were totally severed, that CNI refused to do business with them any more after they switched from CNIs to thie 'own' models. 2nd off those that reported taking the 'Cross-Fire' apart to 'find' that it had...

they have wind up ones too... as well as the idea of perhaps making the shake-up battery pack that is removable.... remove from laser and shake... but yes... with the delicate manner in which these lasers are produced.. I would not recommend shaking... although they claim the Core can be mounted...

well the shaking device, might not be the best bet... unless it was detachable.. but yes, the voltage and such it the main factor with such an Idea..I imagine.. hmmm I might try the mod (after a few more opinions and such), if wl makes good on the promise of a free core... sounds liek a goot...

The 'hinkey' part of TL and WL's accossiation with them....for me stems from a statement by TL, of something along the lines 'that they sell CNIs, while in the same breath, stating 'that No these are not CNIs they are better, and have more mW then other advertized lasers.... to which I posted...

As far as the match lighting goes... curious have you only tried one type of matches or only from one match-book ? For I have found out, that not all matches are created equally..some of them are downright stubborn, even some black-tippeds I have come across, making me think something was...

King K, what was wrong with the CNI, was it just outputting wearker, bad divergance, or TEM01/shiftings... just curious as to 'common' CNI issues, as with the ones I have had, besides battery consumption, and divergance which is fairly simple to correct, they've always held steady beams..so...
