    Laser Eye Damage

Here's another little update, I've noticed, that when I squint and look at the blue sky, the black dots have a little outline around them like the bunch of other dot type eye floaters that I can see. So basically the black dots in my eye are eye floaters, they're just darker and can be seen more...

    Laser Eye Damage

The only laser I ever used was a 5mW Lyra G5 from Laserglow. I'm kind of getting used to it. Maybe I should go to the eye doctor again.

    Laser Eye Damage

Another update: It still hasn't gone away. I've noticed there is more than one of them, as well as numerous eye floaters. :-[

    5mw Green from DX

Do you know that green lasers are much, much brighter to our eyes than red lasers are? That might be why it is really bright, but DX has been known to sell under/over powered lasers. Just be careful with it and you should be fine.

    Laser Eye Damage

GOOD NEWS UPDATE I had my Optometrist appointment today. After the annoying thing where the big puff of air gets shot in each of your eyes, the doctor asked me questions about the problem and I told him what was going on. He used the really bright light to look into each of my eyes, especially...

    Laser Eye Damage

When it appears, if I quickly move my eyes to look somewhere else it appears then fades away in a few seconds. I have some actual floaters, but the dot is a perfect dot. I can't tell that good if it moves but I'll do some more "tests" when it appears again.

    Laser Eye Damage

Update: The Optometrist is seeing me Sunday. The dot appears less and less times each day and it's not as dark and as big. I think it might be healing.

Can an Optometrist look at your Retina for damage?

Can an Optometrist look at your Retina for damage? I don't want to go there to find out I need to go to the next level in eye doctors.

    I hate the news...

    That is unconstitutional.

    Laser Eye Damage

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Why do people keep thinking that my 5mW Lyra is 10mW! Oh, um sorry bout that. Basically, Lyras might peak 6-7 mW, and they are more of true and tested unlike most <5mW lasers. Does a 1-2 mW laser pose much less of a threat to your eyes than a 4-5 mW laser?

    Laser Eye Damage

It's not 10mW, it's 5mW, but it is around 5mW, unlike most "<5mW" pointers. When I was claening the lens, I turned it on to see where the dust was on the lens, but the dot wasn't shining in my eye. I only got directly hit 1-3 times at most. The dot appears many times a day, even if I never see...

    Laser Eye Damage

The dot appears many times a day, even if I never see a laser that day. I'll try to get to an eye doctor although I still don't know of an Optremist can look at my retina.

    Laser Eye Damage

Shut up! For me it's like having a dead pixel in your eye! I have a serious problem and your cracking jokes! >:(

    Laser Eye Damage

Maybe about 1/2 of the size, I can't tell right now because it oddly appears, usually for periods of five minutes many times a day. During those times, It disappears when my right eye is closed and appears when it is not. It is not the center of my vision, but some what close to it.

    Laser Eye Damage

When I can see it clearly (10-15 times a day now) it is definitely there, and I am unable to see in that spot. I know that I haven't had it before, because when it appears clearly it is very noticeable. Would a Optometrist be able to tell if my eye has damage?

    Laser Eye Damage

Bump, I still have a bunch of questions and no answers....

    Laser Eye Damage

Is it really possible I'm imagining the dot? I don't think I am. When it appears I can clearly see it's there. Does looking at it when it's on, but with the dot not in you're eye do damage? When I said a few times, I meant one or two, not 3-5.
