Places to buy <5mW laser pointers

No. I have a couple of their higher power samples, and they're right on with what they advert them as. You might contact them and see what they say about their 1mw & 5mw pens being really under 5mw.

    I'm lost in the bush.

DTR's Laser Shop - Open Thread

Thanks Bro-migo! A nice site for Hosts and parts.

    Phaser Pics

It has a 200mw module and has sound. I integrated the module into the circuit board of the phaser so everything would work like normal except the beam coming out. I did it back in 2007 with a 50mw module as anything with more power was just too expensive back then. Here's my original post...

    Phaser Pics

I posted these a couple years ago elsewhere here on the forum, but I think they'll be alright here.

DTR's Laser Shop - Open Thread

Sweet! Nice to have a good local supplier, especially for components. Not easy to find 520nm copper-encased laser modules above 200mw. Any chance you'll carry any nice 16340 and/or 18650 Hosts for your modules?

    Emergency

I just don't get the point of someone hacking into accounts here. I mean, what'll they find in an account, a mountain of Rupi's or something?

    RGB Laser + Diffraction Gratings

I've never had an RGB before, but I've seen pics of the multicolored beams they put up in the night sky. Way cool.

Warning! Be weary of Sanwu lasers!

I know Sanwu has an office in Oregon but aren't they a Chinese company based in China? How would someone take "legal action" against them?

    Pot mod green laser true?

Back in the late 90's up to the mid 2010's, when 200 and 300mw were quite expensive I did a lot of pot-modding. It was fun. Never blew anything up except a couple times when I substituted higher current batteries and pumped too much current into the thing. Depending on the unit, you could get...

New horizons Nichia NUBC31T coming soon 465nm 13W rated!

Um, isn't anyone at least a little frightened of this thing, this kind of power output at 465nm? I mean, maybe you could cut your house in half with the thing, lol.

Anyone bought chinese unbranded 10440 S/S pointers?

Bro, both "shadowlasers" and "laserpointerstore" sell "Sanwu-esque" lasers for excellent prices as well as genuine Sanwu lasers. I've purchased several from both companies and have been pleased with their bang for the buck.

Places to buy <5mW laser pointers

Bro, "shadowlasers" carry both 1mw and 5mw pens for under 10 bones.

Anyone else like using lasers to eradicate spiders?

I'm a complete and utter arachnophobe (I freaked when I saw the photo above). But I also don't like killing things. Anything. I have a little hand vac just for capturing spiders (and flies) and then letting them go outside, down the street. Way down the street.

My Star Trek Phaser Mod - Old & New

I've been "off planet" for a few months and this JayRob bro sounded familiar to me. Just so happens his was one of the YouTube videos I saw that I thought was better than mine. Here's his ST Phaser video that makes me want to get a 2 or 3-Watt 450nm module to play with, lol. Totally tragic...

LPS Product, Customer Service & Their LPM

I have had no experience with LPS in years past, but I have ordered several items from them in the last 5 months or so and have had nothing but great product and great customer service from them. I've purchased 2 green 520nm half Watt lasers from them (Model 890 and Thor H) and 3 blue 450nm...

LPS Model 890 - Nice Bang for the Buck

I have recently discovered that not all batteries are equal, lol. I have a couple LPS 3-Watt blue 450nm that wouldn't put out more than 1.5-Watt. I thought I got "tattooed" by LPS but, alas, it wasn't so. I had ordered a cheap brand of 16340 batteries on eBay (yellow colored ETSAIR brand)...

    The thread about "real" goggles/glasses. . .

I have a couple 3-Watt blue 450nm and a couple half Watt green 520nm and the LPS glasses for them wipe out the beams completely and reduce the dots to minimal. I'm no expert on glasses but at 8 bones they seem to do the job although they are cheap plastic. Anyone else try them out?

How to post large image files on LPF

Another option is to download and install one of the easiest free image viewer/editors there is: Do a search for "faststone image viewer" and download/install it. Simply open your image in the Faststone viewer (it should do it automatically when you double click your image - or choose to open...

    JLasers 700mW 520nm and 1.6W 450nm

Nice pics brother. And these J's seem to be a nice bang for the buck. I'm just a little concerned about the idea that if you accidently put the battery in backwards, all life in our galaxy's Alpha quadrant could be threatened. I could be a bit paranoid though.
