I also came across a sharp laser diode GH05C01B9G so it’s for 50$ ie half the price of ndg7d75 and can easily do 1.5 watts if you push it till 2.1 A. It seems like a viable option but I think I won’t be spending again on lasers , so I was thinking of going with ndg7d75 instead.
