thanks yeah I realize the cheap Chinese eBay lasers are marketed as underpowered “cat toys” which is pretty scary. I’m not ready for high end yet I’m just now starting to learn more about how they work, experimenting, learning about dangers/safety etc. I will check out the links and DTR though...

It’s one of those Chinese lasers on eBay if you search “1W blue laser” I can post a pic of the “dot”. It’s a round dot unless you take it out of focus then the dot gets wide and turns into a rectangle as shown in this photo. The red arrow is pointing at what the dot looks like when out of focus.

Yeah good info. I already ordered it filters. But until I get my LPM, all I have is this cheap camera that I know can see IR fro my tests. So not perfect but reassuring.

I've been looking for these also. I have two lasers with no labels. Would like to have the wavelength and power on them. The third has a label but of course the info is wrong. Are you still offering these? They look great. Two of my lasers are silver and one is black.
