The smallest possible unit of blue is more powerful than the smallest possible unit of green (shorter wavelength vs longer wavelength). With on the order of 10^18 photons per second from a 1W 445nm laser and more from a 1W 520nm laser, the relative power of each photon seems fairly irrelevant...

Well each blue photon contains more energy but the way we measure lasers doesn't count photons but total power. So for power 1W 445nm = 1W 520nm and the 520nm is putting out more lower energy photons.

Very impressive, I love seeing the hints of detail too small even for these high quality fairly high magnification images.

For my most recent order from laserbtb I used the standard shipping option (Hongkong Post) and recieved my laser within 7 days (6 actually if I remember right). The HL 520 50mW is very nice. ;) This was to California not Germany of course but I hope and expect you will not have to wait too...

The marketing material says it is for protection; beating an attacker with it. :eek: I agree the laserbtb hosts do look more professional except the stickers aren't always perfect which detracts from the effect.

I voted for JetLasers in the poll but I also want to add that Laserbtb is much cheaper and I quite like both their PL and HL hosts; after adding in price I think this question gets complicated. I have had only good experiences with Lasersbtb's customer service, and I did have issues to work out...

I like how the "handheld" laser is a bundle of fiber optics coming out of a wall. I wonder what the fiber coupled diodes look like on the other end and what kind of cooling they use. :D We need magic batteries to make one of these in an AR-15 form factor. lol
